Maruti Suzuki Looks like India are busy working on updates to their lineup. Test mules of models like Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Maruti Suzuki Baleno have already been spotted several times, hinting at the upcoming refreshes. Now, adding to the list, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift has also been spotted testing, which suggests that the company is slowly rolling out a series of mid-cycle updates for some of its popular models. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is slated for a mid-cycle update, with a facelift to be introduced by Maruti Suzuki India Limited later this year. Launched in April 2023, the model has become one of the best-selling subcompact SUVs and ranks as the second best-selling Nexa offering in FY2026 with sales of over 1.72 lakh units.

According to the spy image, the overall silhouette of the Fronx looks similar to the outgoing model, with the front and rear expected to be completely redesigned. The test mule is still very much skinned, so it’s hard to make any obvious changes to the design for now. At the front, the Fronx is expected to get a larger, revised grille with thinner chrome elements, along with possible changes to the headlamp and DRL layout. It may also feature a new lower grille design. In profile, the update is likely to include redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the SUV is expected to get subtle updates in a revised tailgate, a new lower bumper, and integrated LED tail lamps.
On the inside, the overall cabin layout is expected to remain unchanged, though it may get a new interior theme. The freestanding 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, wireless charging, automatic climate control, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Arkamys-tuned sound system, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, HACVMD display, automatic MMDIR, rear 360-degree camera, up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, and ESP with Hill Hold Assist will continue. Additionally, the facelifted model gets a single-pane sunroof, ambient lighting, a new cluster and more.

As for the powertrain, nothing has been confirmed yet. It is expected to continue with the same set of engine options which include a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine with 89 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The other engine option is the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine with 100 bhp of power and 148 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.Photo: gearshift.garaze/Instagram
