Veteran actor Randhir Kapoorthe eldest son of Raj Kapoor and father Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khanhe has seen both successes and setbacks in his professional career. His personal life, especially with his marriage Babita KapoorIt has also gone through a turbulent phase. In a past interview, the actor spoke candidly about his laid-back approach to his career and his relationship struggles.Appearing on Yaadein BTown Ki – Is Duniya Ke Sitaray, hosted by Javed Jaffrey, Randhir candidly addressed the difficulties in his marriage. “I take full responsibility for everything. What happened was a spur of the moment. Even today, Babita is my wife, and she will always be. Karisma and Kareena are my daughters, and they will be my only children. I am human, I make mistakes, and I am working on it. We are together,” he said.He also reflected on his relationship with his co-stars, including Babita. “I married my hero for the first time. I did Kal, aaj, aur kal director’s first film with Babita. We both liked each other, and then we got married. She gave me two beautiful daughters. All my heroes became my boyfriends. Because of my screen image, no one took me seriously. They didn’t start taking me as their boyfriend, but I had to be their best friend, I was Baberita. Randhir shared.In an interview with Hindustan Times, he also confessed the reasons behind the split. “She found me to be a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late, and that was something she didn’t like. And I didn’t want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn’t accept me for who I was, even if it was a love marriage. So that’s okay. We had two beautiful children to take care of. She raised them in the best way, and they’ve been great in her care. I have to blame myself,” he admitted.According to reports, Randhir first met Babita in 1969, and they dated for a couple of years before they got married in 1971. Karisma was welcomed in 1974 and Kareena in 1980. However, the couple separated in 1988 and lived apart for decades before reconciling in 2023.
