2026 Tata Tiago, Tiago EV Launch Tomorrow: What to Expect

Tata Motors The new 2026 Tata Tiago and Tiago EV are all set to launch in the Indian market tomorrow i.e. 28th May 2026. Both models will offer an all-new exterior design, a new interior, additional features, and improved dynamics. Mechanical changes are also expected. Ahead of tomorrow’s official launch, let’s take a look at what we know so far. Tata Tiago ICETalking about the first ICE model, it is expected to get a new variant lineup, with prices starting at Rs 4.8 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, prices for the outgoing model range from Rs 4.60 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will continue to compete with Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Hyundai Grand i10 and other similarly priced hatchbacks. The 2026 Tata Tiago is expected to continue with the current model with the same engine and transmission options. It features a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine with 86 hp power. In CNG mode, power drops to 75.5hp. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual or AMT. Design-wise, the Tata Tiago has received major styling revisions for 2026, especially the front and rear. The hatchback now features slim LED headlamps with eyebrow-style daytime running lights, while the front bumper gets a contrasting black finish with redesigned pixel pattern fog lamps. On the sides, the Tiago gets a fresh set of alloy wheels, blacked out wheel arch cladding and updated ORVMs with integrated cameras. At the rear, it gets a new connected LED tail lamp setup and a redesigned bumper with a large black insert that now accommodates the reverse lamps.Moving inside, the 2026 Tiago gets a reworked cabin layout with a more upright dashboard design. The interior continues with the dual-tone black and light gray finish but now includes a standalone driver’s display and a revised two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata emblem. It gets a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and the ‘TIAGO’ branding on the dashboard is placed lower near the climate control section.It gets features like a 360-degree camera system and dual wireless charging pads for smartphones. The AMT version will additionally offer a paddle shifter. Other expected features include a six-speaker audio system, automatic climate control with rear AC vent, a cool glove box and more. Expected safety features include six airbags, ABS, TPMS, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts.Tata Tiago EV Talking about the Tiago EV, it is also expected to get a new variant lineup with prices expected to start at Rs 8.2 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the current model is priced from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata may also introduce a Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription model. The current model is offered with two battery options – a 19.2kWh unit and a larger 24kWh pack paired with a single electric motor that produces 61hp and 75hp respectively. Tata claims a driving range of 223km for the smaller battery version and 293km for the larger one. With the facelift, the Tiago EV may get upgraded battery technology offering better energy density and better range.
