Land Rover has launched the 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography in India, marking the arrival of the top-spec Autobiography trim to the Range Rover Sport lineup in the country. The locally assembled version of the SUV is priced at Rs 1.6 crore, ex-showroom, bookings are now open.The model also gets two new color options, Burasco Gray and Ostuni Pearl White, along with Santorini Black and Carpathian Grey.Under the hood, the SUV continues with familiar engine options that are assembled locally. The P400 variant is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 394 bhp and 550 Nm of torque, while the D350 diesel version produces 346 bhp and 700 Nm from its 3.0-litre unit. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. For those looking for more performance, the Autobiography trim is also offered with a 4.4-litre V8 engine that delivers 523 bhp and 750 Nm, although this version will continue to be offered as a fully-built unit. Although, the latter is only available in CBU guise.
The 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography also gets an advanced chassis and a range of dynamic systems. These include electronic active differential with torque vectoring through braking, all-wheel steering, configurable terrain response program, and dynamic air suspension with Dynamic Response Pro.Inside, the cabin features a full extended leather package with semi-aniline leather upholstery. It is equipped with a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Meridian signature sound system, and 22-way power adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation. Rear-seat passengers also benefit from reclining seats and an entertainment package that includes 11.4-inch screens. Additional features include four-zone climate control and a power tailgate with gesture control.On the outside, the Autobiography variant stands out with subtle design elements like distinctive badging, red brake calipers, and 22-inch alloy wheels.With this launch, Land Rover continues to strengthen its luxury SUV portfolio in India, offering buyers a more premium and performance-focused option within the Range Rover Sport range.
