In the velag, Chahal was sitting by the window with his co-star Shashank Singh. While the original uploaded version included the vaping footage, the currently live revised version on Arsdeep’s YT channel does not contain the said footage. However, a clip of the recording where Chahal can be seen vaping has since gone viral on social media. The video has sparked widespread backlash online, especially given India’s strict regulations on vaping and e-cigarettes. Earlier, a video of Chahal has gone viral on social media. It reportedly showed the cricketer smoking while driving a luxury car. The clip is claimed to show Chahal taking a puff and then throwing the cigarette butt into the street, prompting criticism from fans and civic groups. However, The Times of India is currently unable to independently verify the authenticity of the video. It is unclear when or where the footage was recorded. The issue came as a surprise to some, as Chahal recently spoke about a strict lifestyle. A few weeks before the IPL 2026 season, he appeared on former teammate AB de Villiers’ YouTube channel and spoke about his focus on fitness and longevity. In the conversation, Chahal said he quit drinking more than six months ago to manage injuries and stay fit at the age of 35.
