Yash has spilled the beans about his upcoming film ‘Toxic’, and the reason behind the delay in its release. The actor, who has already started promoting the film, explained in his latest interview the reason for choosing the film and the release schedule that will be in line with Hollywood distribution patterns.

Explaining the reason for collaborating with director Geetu Mohandas and how working with a female filmmaker brought a different emotional perspective to the story, she told Variety in an interview, “We. [men] see life differently We see things differently.” And he added: “There is always another point of view when women look at things. We lose many emotions or many things. Maybe we don’t care. What we care about may not be the thing that will focus on an event or situation. So that perspective becomes very refreshing, and it’s so layered, and it’s so deep.”Talking about how the collaboration came together, he recalled Mohandas approaching him with the story. He explained: “On the face of it, it looks like a gangster movie with commercial stuff, but it’s very nuanced, because there’s moral ambiguity or raw emotion or the human or the dark side of certain issues, and as an artist or at this point in my life, I’d like to explore those kinds of things on celluloid.”
Yash’s reason for delaying ‘Toxic’ release
Yash also hit out at the makers who chose to delay the film’s release twice in the last year. Opening up about the film’s release strategy, he admitted to Variety that while it’s something his fans won’t like, “unfortunately, marketing happens even if you don’t want it to. The moment we start shooting, people start writing about it. In the West, everything starts when the movie ends.”He added, “If somebody wants to buy the film or somebody wants to be a part of the film, they want to see the film because there’s a lot of money involved.”‘Toxic’ was scheduled to release on June 4, 2026. It is still awaiting the announcement of a new release date.
