‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ appears firmly ahead of its release. Recent rumors online suggested yet another delay for the Yash-directed period gangster action film. However, actress Tara Sutaria has firmly rejected these talks. In a chat with filmmaker Farah Khan on his vlog, he confirmed that the release is now on June 4, 2026.

‘Toxic’ Releases Rumors

Speculation about another delay had been rife for weeks. Many wondered if “Toxic” would change dates again. Tara Sutaria addressed it directly during their interaction and confirmed the actress’ June 4 release.The film was earlier pushed to June 4 due to factors outside of a March slot. Now, the focus shifts to promotion and final preparations.

Introducing the character of Tara Sutaria

On January 3 of this year, the officials presented the poster of the first appearance of Tara Sutaria. Her role is Rebecca, and the caption reads: “Introducing Tara Sutaria as REBECCA – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups (sic).”Director Geethu Mohandas shared a note praising Tara: “I’ve always felt an instinctive love to protect Tara. Maybe it’s because she’s a protected soul or maybe it’s the armor she’s comfortable with. And maybe it doesn’t need to be specified. I realized in the beginning that the best way to reach her was not to push her options further, it was just to ask for our space. She looked calm, very professional and perfectly aligned in the equation than she spoke. He listened more than he showed. And I often wondered if I should drive closer. But in his silence, something powerful was brewing. When he finally got into his performance, what emerged was no surprise, born of the inner understanding he’s been carrying all along. It completely surprised me, and in the best way. I have no doubt it will surprise everyone else too.”Tara Sutaria answered warmly. She wrote: “My dear Geetu… Love you. Thank you for being such a thoughtful and caring captain and guiding this with such strength and sensitivity! Your intuitive energy and guidance have been incredible in helping shape Rebecca. I love you!”The project is written and directed by Geetu Mohandas. It’s an action thriller set in different eras.Yash leads the film in a powerful role. The starrer features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.
