the actor Yashwho is in the US promoting his film’Ramayana‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ gave new insights into his upcoming film. The actor, who will be seen playing the antagonist Ravana in the Nitesh Tiwari epic, opened up about his upcoming ambitious and unconventional gangster film that will hit the theater screens in June.
Yash in ‘Toxic’
In a candid chat with Fandango, Yash was asked to share details about his upcoming action film. “Toxic is a very ambitious film,” he began, explaining: “For the first time, I think, we shot that film in English as well. So as a concept, it’s very layered.” He added: “It’s not your typical gangster action story. On the face of it, it’s going to look like an action gangster movie, but it’s got deep psychology and really interesting aspects of human life that you can relate to and it’s a very unique way of presenting a dark character.”

Yash also credits director Geetu Mohandas and the technical team for bringing a fresh approach to the genre. He shared, “It was very exciting and some of the best techniques, my director Geetu Mohandas, really gave a new perspective to a gangster film and I enjoyed it.”Teasing what’s in store for fans, he shared, “It’s going to be a visual treat, as well as something that has a huge impact on the psychology of the audience.”
‘Toxic’ release date
‘Toxic’ was originally supposed to clash with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ on March 19, but the makers pushed back the release date. Amidst much buzz about the film getting a new release, actress Tara Sutaria confirmed that the film will release on June 4, 2026.
Yash confirms ‘No Scene’ with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Ramayana’
Update Yash attended the CinemaCon event in the US where he is promoting the epic ‘Ramayana’. The actress also shared with the portal that Part One of the saga will not see her sharing screen space with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. He shared, “Interestingly, we both have never met on screen in this film. As you all know, it’s a two-part film, so in the first part, like Ravana, I have my kingdom and Rama has his kingdom.“‘Ramayana’ will release worldwide on Diwali 2026.
