Ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s final league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobbitt confirmed that the captain Rajat Patidar Available for selection after the previous game disappeared due to concussion related protocols.RCB, who have already qualified for the playoffs, will look to finish the league stage on top with a win over SRH. Patidar missed the match against Punjab Kings after getting hit on the helmet during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma led the team in his absence.Speaking ahead of the match, Bobbitt said, “Rajat is good to go. We were cautious and didn’t take any risks with him, we thought we would give him a bit of time to recover and rest, but he is here, he is practicing and he is good to go.”Bobbit added that the team is only focused on the next game and not thinking too far ahead.“It sounds a bit cliché, but we try to take it one game at a time. Whether we’re home or away, it doesn’t matter to us. We try to understand the situation, respect the opposition, plan for them, and then focus on what we’re good at and try to do the best we can.”“And then you really repeat it for every group game, so I don’t know if there’s a rule or a secret. It’s nice that we’ve been consistent. We’ve obviously won a lot of games and the games we haven’t won, we’ve been competitive, so that’s good. We feel in a good place about it, but we just do it,” he said, focusing on the next game.Talking about the SRH clash, Bobbitt said, “All teams are good in this competition, every team has dangerous players, and anyone can take the game away from you, so you have to be very humble and respect the opposition, but also be clear on your strengths. We are not bound by any date or record. We’re just focused on tomorrow night’s game.”Bobbitt also praised the fast bowler. Bhuvneshwar Kumarwho currently tops the wicket-taking charts with 24 wickets in 13 innings.“Bhawi has been outstanding. His results have been outstanding, he has taken a lot of wickets, but he has also bowled with great rhythm. He has been effective at the front end of the innings as well as at the back end, so we are very happy with how he is going,” added Bobbitt. On Bhuvneshwar’s role in the team, Bobbitt said, “He speaks well in meetings, he is a good source of insight and ideas on the field under pressure. He can also be a great support for Rajat and Jitesh, which is really important. We get a lot of value from him because he gives us a lot.”
