Naheed Rana then tore apart Pakistan’s middle and lower order with a sensational blast. He dismissed Saud Shakeel before bowling Mohammad Rizwan with a sharp nip-backer that hit the stumps.“[On the toss decision] Hindsight is 20/20. We looked at the conditions and in terms of sevens bowling we had excellent conditions. We took the first two wickets. But in the first innings we didn’t capitalize on that and then we didn’t capitalize with the bat either,” Masood said after Pakistan’s defeat. “We could have gone for more runs. But in the first innings, with bat and ball, we needed to do better. You can never question effort, especially when you are playing Test cricket six months later. Test cricket at such levels teaches you that when you have a game in hand you have to push the opposition, but we failed to do that,” said Masood. “[The debutants] Very happy.
