The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the results of the second board exams of class 10th soon, the scores are likely to be announced in the second week of June. Introduced for the first time under CBSE’s new two-exam system, the optional second phase allowed students to improve marks in three papers or clear compartment subjects.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10th Secondary Board Exam Results soon on the official website. cbse.gov.in. Once released, students will be able to access their provisional mark sheets online through the official CBSE result portals using their login credentials. These exams were held from 15 to 21 May 2026.The second examination round was conducted as part of CBSE’s revised two-board examination system introduced from the 2026 academic session.

CBSE has introduced other board exams under the new system.

The second phase of the Class 10 board exams was introduced for the first time this year under the CBSE’s new exam format. The revised system allows students to get another chance to improve their performance or clear subjects in which they failed in the central board exams held earlier in the year.Under the new structure, the first board exam held in February will remain compulsory. The second phase is optional and allows students to re-appear in a maximum of three subjects. CBSE has also allowed students to retain their best scores between the two exams.This initiative was introduced to reduce the pressure associated with a final exam and to provide students with more academic flexibility.

Around 6.7 lakh students registered for the second examination cycle

The second round of exams saw an overwhelming response from students across the country. According to CBSE data, around 6.7 lakh applications were received for the exams.Over 5.25 lakh students registered in the improvement category, while over 85,000 candidates applied for the compartment exams. Thousands of students also participated under both the categories.The exam cycle started with Mathematics papers and later covered English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Social Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Home Science and several regional languages ​​and professional subjects.

CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026 is likely to be out in the second week of June.

Although CBSE has not officially confirmed the exact date and time for the declaration of results, based on the board’s normal examination timeline, the Class 10 Second Board Exam results are expected to be declared in the second week of June.Once declared, students will be able to check their marks through official CBSE websites and alternative digital platforms.

CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026: Steps to Download

After the result link is activated students can follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website of CBSE Result.
  • Click on the Class 10 Second Board Exam Result link.
  • Enter Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card ID and Date of Birth.
  • Submit details.
  • The provisional mark sheet will appear on the screen.
  • Download and save the result for future use.

CBSE also provides an alternative result platform.

To ease the pressure on official websites during result hours, CBSE is also expected to provide alternative methods for students to access their scorecards.Students will be able to download the digital mark sheet through DigiLocker. The board may also allow students to check the results through SMS services if the website faces heavy traffic on the day of declaration.
