Speaking to Variety India about his musical philosophy, GV Prakash explained, “If something is emotionally correct and honest, it becomes timeless.” He believes that songs should connect emotionally, rather than follow temporary trends. He also made it clear that he does not compose music based solely on what is popular today. “I don’t follow trends; it depends on the movie,” he explains. GV Prakash added that every film has its own emotional world, and the music should match that mood. “First you solve the geography, understand the soundscape,” he said while describing his creative process. For him, it’s about understanding the setting, characters and emotional depth of a film before composing the music.

Talking about the protagonist ‘Kara’ DhanushGV Prakash described the film as an emotional and psychological experience. “It’s an emotional film about a person dealing with guilt,” he shared. He also added: “There is a fatherly feeling, a psychological element and a robbery. I found many layers.” According to him, the film allowed him to create music rooted in emotions instead of commercial formulas. He also praised Dhanush’s hardworking nature and compared it to his own. “We are hardworking. If you are really passionate about what you do, you don’t feel any pressure,” said GV Prakash while talking about their work style.
