A month after allegations that Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, controlled and ruined their relationship, the singer-turned-fashion designer has now broken her silence amid the rift. In a new interview, Victoria said that she and her husband David Beckham have always tried to be the best parents, and that they want to protect and love their children.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Victoria, 51, was asked about her eldest son, but declined to use his name. The Spice Girls singer told the outlet: “I think we always have… We love our children very much.”“We’ve always tried to be the best parents we can be,” he added. “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for over 30 years now, and all we’ve tried to do is protect our kids and love our kids. And you know, that’s all I really want to say.”Victoria has remained silent since Brooklyn accused her and David Beckham of trying to sabotage his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham and spreading “numerous lies” in her explosive Instagram Stories in January.
Brooklyn Beckham’s allegations against his parents
Among the messages, Brooklyn said her parents were “constantly trying to ruin” her relationship with Nicola in the name of publicity and that she valued “publicity and endorsements above everything else”. Other accusations included that her parents “removed the rights” to her name before her and Nicola’s wedding and that Victoria “hijacked” her wedding dance with Nicola and “danced me inappropriately”.““I don’t want to reconcile with my family. I’m not controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” she said at the time.
