Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has started the phase 3 counseling process for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2026 candidates from Wednesday, May 28. The counseling round is for students who secured a rank between 45,001 and 70,000 in the engineering entrance exam, along with Phase 2 buffer candidates who could not get admission earlier due to priority issues.VITEEE is an entrance exam conducted by VIT for admission to its BTech programs offered across campuses including Vellore, Chennai, AP and Bhopal. Through the counseling process, eligible students can fill for seat allocation in their preferred campuses and engineering branches based on rank, availability and category preference.

VITEEE 2026 Date of Phase 3 Consultation

As per the official notification, online choice filling process for phase 3 counseling started on May 28 at 10 am and will close on May 29 at 5 pm. Candidates are advised to complete the process within the last date as the counseling window is open for a limited period.

VITEEE 2026 Phase 3 Counseling Result

VIT said that the seat allotment results for phase 3 counseling will be declared on May 31. Candidates securing seats have to complete payment of advance tuition fee between 31st May to 6th June to confirm admission.The last date for payment of remaining admission fee is set as June 19.

Candidates eligible for Phase 3 Counseling can login through the official website, vit.ac.inUsing their application number and passwordAfter signing in, students have to pay the counseling fee to access the dashboard. They can then select their preferred campus, branch and category in descending order of preference before submitting the final list.Students are advised to prepare a long and flexible preference list to improve their chances of getting a seat during allotment.
