Vedang Raina has hit the big screen with his latest album ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin ShahSharvari and others. The film is a romantic drama set against the backdrop of partition with dreams and broken hearts. And speaking of broken hearts, in an exclusive interview with us, Vedang Raina shared a page from his personal life. When asked about her heartbreaks, she candidly shared, “I have. I think everyone has at some point, and it doesn’t have to be a romantic heartbreak. It can be any kind of heartbreak.”
Vedang Raina on dealing with heartbreaks in her life
He continued, “I’ve definitely been through a lot of heartbreak.” Asked how she coped, she replied: “Well, I guess time really does heal everything. I know this is really, you know, a cliché to say, but like with time you figure things out.’Elaborating on his point, Vedang mentioned, “You figure out how to adapt to certain changes in your life that are heartbreaking. I think you learn to love yourself more. I think the more you love yourself, the less heartbreak it causes you.”

In our conversation, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali also opened up about what he finds most unique and remarkable about Vedang. He said: “As an actor, he wants all his answers. He prepares for the shot or the scene, days before, when we were reading with him. He would try to get all the notes right.”

The ‘Tamasha’ director believes that it is the musician within Vedang that adds more to his acting personality. He said: “Since he is also a musician, he wants to place everything perfectly in his mind. And clarify everything, then start taking it. Your comfort is that you want to know a little.”However, in this film he left it, which, according to the director, is a sign of courage. “I think that was a highlight for me. And it’s a very technical performance, not like a joke or a quirk.”
