Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has started the registration process for Agriculture Technical Assistant (AGTA) Group C Recruitment 2026. The objective of the recruitment drive is to fill up 2,759 vacancies in the Agriculture Department of Uttar Pradesh.Eligible candidates can apply online through official website upsssc.gov.in. - Other Backward Classes (OBC): 573 posts
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 213 posts

UPSSSC AGTA Group C Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for recruitment:
- Keep a valid PET 2025 score card
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related subjects from a recognized university.
Relevant fields include:
- Agricultural Science
- Horticulture
- Forests
- Agricultural Engineering
- Home Science
Candidates with zero or negative normalized PET score will not be considered for the next stage of selection.
Age limit and salary
The minimum age requirement is 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years from 1 July 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per government rules.Selected candidates will get salary from Rs.25,500 to Rs.81,100 under Pay Level-4.
UPSSSC AGTA Group C Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Shortlisting based on PET 2025 score
- Main written test
- Document verification
The written exam will have 100 objective type questions. Each question will carry one mark, and the duration of the exam will be two hours.There will also be negative marking, one quarter mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

- Biotechnology, Plant Breeding and Crop Physiology – 10 Questions
- Soil and Water Conservation – 15 Questions
- Agricultural Extension – 5 Questions

- Knowledge of Computer and Information Technology – 15 questions
