Pune: Toral India, a leading aluminum sand casting manufacturer, has been featured in a Harvard Business School case study, placing the company among a select group of global entrepreneurs studying at one of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions.The case study follows the journey of Bharat Gate, founder and CEO of Toral India and developed a high-precision aluminum casting business in India through a joint venture with Germany-based Thoni Alutec Group. It traces the company’s evolution from its inception in 2016 to becoming a globally relevant manufacturing platform serving sectors such as energy, railways, defense, and aerospace.Authored by Professor VG Narayanan, the case study offers insight into how first-generation entrepreneurs can build globally competitive enterprises in capital-intensive industries, even without having established legacy advantages or industrial networks.The Harvard Business School case study was officially launched in Mumbai at a special gathering of leaders from business, politics and academia, including former industry minister Subhash Desai.
