Recently, the actress took to her social media account to call out a fellow passenger, an old man who was on the same flight as her. Speaking about the situation, while posting a series of photos on her account, Dorfman revealed that she discovered the passenger had been sending transphobic messages about her to someone on her phone.The man revealed what he wrote in his text messages, “I’m in the first aisle of first class. Guess what’s sitting next to me? A f—ing transsexual, transitioning from male to female. Just my luck. I was expecting a hot babe!!”Another text from the man read: “Two and a half hours sitting next to this freak!!” The actress posted photos of the messages on her phone, taken from a distance, and expressed her disdain for the subject. The star came out as a transgender woman in 2021, and has since advocated for transgender rights and been quite vocal about the issues the community faces on a daily basis.She also wrote in her post, “The audacity of this man to text me so blatantly (dismissing his misogynistic and revolting comments about our in-flight services, as opposed to my geek) reaffirms the choices I’ve made to feel safe and comfortable in my body and spirit.”

He later added in his post: “This comes at the cost of safety and comfort in the world, especially in America, and that is not without consequences at home and abroad. I am lucky to have the life I have, the ability to fly freely (for now), and even send s— like this.”She also commented how although she knows she doesn’t ‘look’ feminine, she puts effort into her body and appearance for her own comfort, not for other people. “It’s always been alignment and autonomy for my own comfort, not the comfort of others or society’s expectations,” she shared.The posts got a lot of reaction as many people extended their support to the actor.
