‘Top Gun’ will be re-released in India on its 40th anniversary
According to a social media post from the major film production and distribution company, ‘Top Gun’ will be re-opening in theaters. Both films of the beloved action franchise ‘Top Gun’, as well as ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, will be released in theaters soon. The films are being re-released for the big screen to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first film. ‘Top Gun’ was released on May 16, 1986, and ‘Maverick’ on May 27, 2022. The post confirming the re-release read: “#TopGun Today, see TOP GUN and TOP GUN: MAVERICK on the big screen again for a special week-long theatrical event.”Fans and moviegoers will be able to watch the films again, or watch them on the big screen for the first time from May 15 in select theaters across the country. The films will run for a week to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary.
