New Delhi: The BCCI announced the 15-man India A squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka on Thursday, with 23-year-old batsman Tilak Verma handed the captaincy for the June assignment.The tri-series will feature India A, Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A, all white ball matches will be played in Dambulla. The tour will also include two multi-day matches against Sri Lanka A in Galle after the limited-overs competition.The squad includes several rising names from the ongoing domestic and franchise circuit, including Priyansh Arya and teenage sensation Vibhu Suryavanshi. Rajasthan Royals Captain Ryan Prag has been appointed vice-captain, giving the selectors a focus on developing young leadership options.Priyansh, who has impressed in recent white-ball competitions, takes a deserved place alongside Suryavanshi, one of the most talked-about young prospects in Indian cricket. The selectors have also included wicketkeepers Prabhasmaran Singh and Kumar Kshagra.Among the bowlers, Anshul Kamboj has been rewarded for his impressive performances, including his impressive IPL 2026 campaign. Other notable names in the squad include Ayush Baduni, Nishant Sindhu, Harsh Dubey and Vipraj Nigam.The BCCI confirmed that the squad for the Red Ball League of the tour, comprising two multi-day matches in Galle, will be announced separately at a later date.
