Given the current production line, Season 4 is expected to premiere in 2028, if development proceeds as planned.Season 3 of ‘The Rings of Power’, which premieres in November, will reportedly pick up “several years” from the events of Season 2. The new chapter is expected to unfold during the “War of the Elves and Sauron,” as the Dark Lord moves closer to forging the One Ring to rule all of Middle-earth.Initial reports indicated that the hti series will end after five seasons.The reports also come at a time when interest in the Lord of the Rings franchise is growing in film and television. Major upcoming projects include ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum’, dir. Andy Serkiswhich will be released on December 17, 2027.
