The cast of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ hit the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hit franchise.This year’s Cannes is mostly devoid of Hollywood films. But to help cover the blockbuster-sized hole in this year’s lineup, the French festival is hosting a midnight screening of the first premiere in a series of 10 films.On Wednesday, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster posed for photographers in Cannes. They were joined by Meadow Walker, the 27-year-old daughter of the late actor Paul Walker. In 2013, Walker died in a tragic car accident in Los Angeles.At the red carpet event, Diesel looked especially happy as he hugged Meadow while Michelle and Jordana looked on with smiles.Later that evening, the cast gathered on the red carpet for a screening of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ in the midnight slot. For the screening, the actors hit the red carpet in formal wear and evening gowns. Vin, dressed in an embellished ‘Fast Forever’ jacket, was seen joking around with photographers while striking some quirky poses.They were seen giving Meadow a warm welcome on the carpet as she joined the group posing for photos

Once inside, Vin took the microphone to give a speech in which Meadow Walker described her as “representing the sisterhood” she and her father, Paul Walker, shared in ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise.The ‘Fast & Furious’ films have grossed over $7 billion at the box office. The 11th episode titled ‘Fast Forever’ will be released in March 2028 by Universal Pictures. As reported on Wednesday, a web series is also in the works.
