She told “The New York Times” magazine: “I think the first time I didn’t care if people hated it because I love it so much was when I wrote ‘Love Story’ when I was 17 years old, sitting in my bedroom, angry at my parents because they wouldn’t let me go on a date with him because I shouldn’t be on a date with him.”“And that’s why you have to discipline your kids because they can write songs that go to No. 1,” he added.

Swift famously dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who was almost 10 years her senior, in 2010, writing the anthem ‘All Too Well’ about their painful breakup. And while her fans may consider some of the details on her album, Swift doesn’t let perception dictate the music she releases.“A lot of times, when I love it to some degree, that resonates with people. And it might not resonate with the way people feel until six years later,” she shared.Noting his 2017 album ‘Reputation’ in particular, he said: “I loved the ‘Reputation’ album. I was like, ‘Whatever you want to say. I know what I’ve done. I love it. Go with God. I’m sorry. You can come if you want to. It’s okay if you don’t’.”“I have this very strong opinion that when you’re young you feel things on such a vivid and specific level,” he added.
