Speaking to Billboard, Barry Keoghan revealed that the intense online backlash prompted him to retire from public life altogether. She said she quit social media, stopped going to events, and let the hate get inside of her. She also expressed concern about how the online hate might affect her young son in the future, saying: “It’s disappointing that my little boy has to read all this stuff when he gets older.”
