Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, continued its impressive run on its fifth day in theaters. The film collected around Rs 12.75 crore in India on Tuesday, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.This represents a 10.8 percent drop from Monday’s 14.30 million.

India Net approaches 100 crores for ‘Karuppu’

With Day 5 earnings, ‘Karuppu’s India net collection has reached 95.05 crores. The gross collection in India now stands at 110.04 crores.The film was screened in 6,093 screens across the country on Tuesday. Karuppu opened with Rs 15.50 crore on Friday. It rose to 24.15 crores on Saturday and reached 28.35 crores over the weekend on Sunday.Collections settled at 14.30 crore on Monday, before gaining 12.75 crore on Tuesday.

Tamil Nadu is the leader, adding 4 million overseas

The Tamil version contributed Rs 10.55 crore on Day 5 from 4,362 shows with an occupancy rate of 42 percent.The Telugu version added Rs 2.20 crore from 1,731 shows and registered 24 percent occupancy.Tamil occupancy improved throughout the day, rising from 25.38 percent in the morning to 56.69 percent in the evening shows.The Telugu version also saw growth, reaching 27.09 percent occupancy in the last shows of the day.Overseas, the film grossed Rs 4 crore on Tuesday. Its total international gross has risen to 51 million.

Worldwide gross reaches 161.04 million

With strong domestic and overseas numbers, ‘Karuppu’s worldwide gross collection has touched Rs 161.04 crore in five days.At the state level, Tamil Nadu was the leader with a gross of Rs 10 crore on Tuesday.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 2.25 crore, followed by Karnataka with Rs 1.20 crore and Kerala with Rs 1.05 crore.Rest of India added Rs 24 lakh, taking its total Day 5 gross to Rs 14.74 crore in the states.RJ Balaji’s mythological entertainer commands attentionDirected by RJ Balaji, ‘Karuppu’ blends mythology, courtroom drama and commercial action.
