Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’, directed by RJ Balaji, is maintaining strong momentum at the box office, showing a significant jump in collections on the second day. The film continues to attract audiences, driving word of mouth and improving occupancy trends in the regions.

According to Sacnilk data, the film earned Rs 23.40 crore on Saturday, a 51% increase compared to its opening day collection of Rs 15.50 crore. The film screened in 6,288 shows on Day 2, taking its cumulative India net to 38.90 crores and India gross to 45.04 crores. Internationally, Karuppu added 10 crores on its second day, taking its overseas total to 21 crores. With this, the worldwide gross has risen to 66.04 crore in just two days of its release.

Audience participation improved on the second day, especially in the evening and night shows. The Tamil screening showed continued high engagement with peak occupancy crossing the 80% mark at night.The Tamil version of the film continues to dominate its earnings, contributing Rs 19.75 crore on Day 2 with a strong occupancy rate of around 64%. Telugu markets added 3.65 million, while other regions also contributed to the overall growth. State-wise, Day 2 gross figures are Tamil Nadu at 16.25 crore, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at 50 lakh, Karnataka at 3.60 crore, Kerala at 2.15 crore and Rest of India at 61 lakh.
