SSCGD Constable 2026 Exam Affected at Multiple Centers, Fresh Admit Card Released

SSCGD Constable Exam 2026 Cancelled: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) General Duty Constable 2026 exam has been canceled at several centers following overcrowding and violation of seating capacity. The disruption was reported at several examination venues where the attendance was much higher than the permitted limit.The Staff Selection Commission confirmed that some centers were unable to conduct the examination fairly due to the turnout of candidates compared to the available seat arrangements, which led to immediate suspension of the affected shifts. The updated schedule has now been released for the affected candidates.Rescheduling of affected examination shiftsThe affected exams will now be rescheduled from May 27, the revised admit cards will be made available at ssc.gov.in.Adjustment of examination date is linked to revision of holidays.The exam, which was originally scheduled for May 28, has been postponed to May 27 due to the revised public holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr. Aadhaar e-KYC verification will be mandatory at examination venues.Center-level disruptions and capacity violationsAt centers including Bhopal, attendance figures reportedly shot up to 819 candidates against around 399 available seats, leading to immediate disruption and suspension of ongoing shifts. Officials cited repeated capacity mismatches at multiple centers, requiring immediate intervention to maintain examination standards.Admit card revision and location updateCandidates affected by the cancellation are instructed to download the fresh admit card from the official SSC portal ssc.gov.in. The revised hall tickets will include the updated exam centers, timing changes and rescheduled dates for all the affected candidates.Safety verification measures at new centresAll candidates appearing in rescheduled shifts will undergo Aadhaar e-KYC verification at designated centers as part of mandatory security protocol. The commission has said that identity verification will be strictly enforced at the entry points to ensure the integrity of the examination.Official Communication Advisory issued by SSCSSC has instructed the candidates to rely solely on the official notification issued through their website and regional offices. It also warned against acting on unverified information circulating on social media regarding shift changes, center allotments or exam postponements.
