South East Central Railway (SECR), Nagpur Division and Workshop Motibagh has invited online applications for the recruitment of Act Apprentices under Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992. The recruitment drive for the session 2026-27 offers 1079 Apprenticeship Vacancies in various Trades at Nagpur Division and Moti Bagh Workshop.The notification was released on 19th May 2026 and the online application process started on the same day. Candidates can submit applications through official apprenticeship portal till 18 June 2026. The duration of training for selected candidates will be one year, and applications will be accepted in online mode only.Eligibility and Vacancy DetailsCandidates applying for Apprentice Posts should be between 15 to 24 years as on 19th May 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per existing government rules. Applicants must have passed Class 10 with minimum 50% aggregate marks and possess ITI qualification in relevant trade.SECR has announced a total of 1079 Apprentice slots under the recruitment process. Candidates have to select either Nagpur Division or Moti Bagh Workshop while filling the application form. Railway officials have advised the applicants to enter the matriculation and ITI marks carefully before final submission.Selection process and application procedureSelection will be made on the basis of merit list prepared using marks obtained in matriculation and ITI examinations in respective trade. Only those candidates who have minimum 50% aggregate marks in Matric along with prescribed ITI qualification will be considered for preparation of merit list.In cases where two candidates score equal marks, preference will be given to the older applicant. If the age is also the same, then the candidate who has passed matric first will be given preference. Applicants can complete the registration process through apprenticeshipindia.gov.in before the last date of 18 June 2026.As per the recruitment notification, engagement of apprenticeship will be done under the provisions of Apprentices Act and relevant Apprenticeship Rules. The official portal will host the entire application process, including submission of academic details and trade selection. Candidates undergoing apprenticeship training in Railway Institutions under SECR are directed to complete and submit their forms before the due date to avoid last-minute technical difficulties during the registration procedure.
