Asked to field first, Zalmi’s bowlers, led by Sufyan Moqim and Iftikhar Ahmed, restricted Quetta Gladiators to 154 in 20 overs, with limited contributions from the batting line-up.In reply, Zalmi achieved the target of 155 runs with nine balls remaining for the loss of just two wickets. Captain Babar Azam scored an unbeaten 71 runs off 51 balls with the help of 10 fours. He shared a partnership with Mohammad Haris and Kosal Mendis as Zalmi completed the chase without any difficulty.The result marked Zalmi’s fifth straight win, the first in their history at the tournament, and their sixth overall in the 11th edition.Babar Azam continued to add to his records in T20 cricket this season as well. He recently became the fastest player to reach 12,000 runs in the format and is the only cricketer in PSL history to score 4,000 runs. He also became the fourth batsman overall to score 100 half-centuries in T20 cricket.
