After intensive treatment by some of Mumbai’s leading oncologists, Sanjay was declared cancer-free within a few months, in October 2020, bringing immense relief to his family and well-wishers.Reports at the time suggested that the actor had also obtained a five-year US medical visa to seek further consultations with doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The hospital holds emotional significance for the Dutt family, as Sanjay’s late mother, veteran star Nargis Dutt, received treatment there during her battle with cancer in the early 80s.

According to Free Press Journal, Sanjay left for the US last week after wrapping up a promotional event for his latest film Aakhri Sawaal, which released on May 15. The actress is believed to be in Los Angeles with her close friend Paresh Ghelani. While previous trips have reportedly included consultations with specialists in New York, this visit is also said to include medical opinions from experts in California.Those close to the actor said, “Sanjay has been traveling to the US regularly for the past few years for his regular medical check-ups. This visit is also part of that process. He is doing well physically. His full travel plans are not yet known, and he may even go to the East Coast.’ Despite speculation surrounding the visit, those close to the actor insist there is no immediate cause for concern and that the trip is part of ongoing health monitoring post-recovery.However, Sanjay Dutt is yet to officially confirm the details of his visit to the US or whether it is related to his health condition.
