Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has been making headlines after releasing the special ‘Still Alive’. And lately, he’s been breaking the silence on top comics Sunil PalA scathing critic during the India’s Got Latent debate, he called Sunil Pal a “frustrated man” who lacks mental peace and feels sorry for him.
What did Samay Raina say about Sunil Pal?
Speaking on The Longest Interview podcast hosted by Vaibhav Munjal, Samay was shown a picture of Sunil Pal and asked for his thoughts. She said: “I don’t think about him. One thing I learned very early in my life is that if someone says sh*t about other people, they’re going through something. I don’t feel insulted… It’s better to talk about me.”The young stand-up comedian added: “Whether he’s talking about me good or bad, at the end of the day, he’s talking about me. I feel bad for him.”Samay added: “Something is bothering him, insecurity. That man has no peace of mind. I hope he gets peace. He who is at peace does not enjoy disturbing the peace of others.”
Samay Raina’s dig to all ‘India’s Got Latent’ critics
Samay did not stop at Sunil Pal. During the controversy he dealt a wider but subtler blow to all those who spoke against him. He stated: All those who attacked us in the ‘India’s Got Latent’ debate are frustrated in life. Kapil Sharma say anything against us? Or did a good actor say anything? Many people could have come out and spoken against us, but no one who was calm did that. Only the frustrated decided to go after us.”
What Sunil Pal said earlier about Samay Raina
During the controversy, Sunil Pal launched a scathing attack on Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia. “They are terrorists who use dirty language and obscene content. They claim to be content creators, but they have no content and are not creators. I think they should be sentenced to at least 10 years in prison for spreading this filth,” said Pale.Notably, despite the public war of words, the two later collaborated on an ad together.

Samay Raina also addressed the fallout in his newly released special ‘Still Alive’, which departs from his usual stand-up and takes a more reflective tone on the 2025 controversy. Referring to Sunil Pal’s advice to learn from Kapil Sharma, Samay said, “Sunil Pal said, ‘Learn from Kapil Sharma’. Kapil Sharma was supposed to come in our next episode.
