For those who don’t know, the latest episode of ‘Euphoria’ ends with Nate Jacobs buried alive in the desert due to debt, Cassie also taken and a lot of drama that was never expected. Levinson has made sure to raise the stakes in every episode to come. While talking to Esquire about the same, he was clear about one thing: he wanted to give the audience what they wanted. It was just a matter of how to present what they wanted.Speaking about the same thing, he commented: “I know what the audience wants in terms of justice or karma, and with that in mind, I always think: ‘Well, how can I give it to them? How can I give them what they want, but so terrifying and anxiety-inducing, because at the time it happens, the audience is not so sure what they want?’He also added that he wants the audience to question the possibilities and needs of the show. Nate Jacobs has been buried alive in the burning desert. Although he is given a tube to ensure he has access to air, it becomes the cause of his untimely death as the snake crawls through the space and bites. With Jacob’s emotional cries for release, Levinson wanted to raise the question: “’Oh, God, I don’t know. Should it have been better? Was it worth it?’” in the minds of the listeners.As for the snake, Levinson also shared that they used a non-venomous snake for the coffin shots with Jacob Elordi, although the surface shots showing the snake slithering up to the opening of the pipe were done with real venomous species!
