In a candid interview, Ayushmann explains why he is focusing on storytelling and family-friendly films and how the reality of the post-pandemic box office shaped this decision.

But speaking to Sonal Kalra on The Right Angle, the actress made it clear that she has nothing more to offer on that front for now.Asked which taboo topic he wanted to explore next, Ayushmann said, “I think maine saare taboo topics khatam kar diye hain (laughs). I have worked on so many films based on them. It limits the public family. I made films about taboo subjects before the Covid pandemic. Even after that, I did ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ and ‘Doctor G’, which didn’t do as well as I expected at the box office.”Ayushmann admitted that the pandemic marked a turning point, both for Bollywood and for his choices as an actor.He added, “After OTT became big, I only looked for films that were for a wider audience. Taboo break se zyaada (more than breaking taboos), subjects that people can watch together. Everything was so different before the pandemic; the films I did had a huge buzz at the box office. But things changed after the pandemic.”
