RRC SECR Bilaspur Apprentice Recruitment 2026: South East Central Railway, Bilaspur Division has issued notification for recruitment of Act Apprentices for the session 2026-27 under the Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1962. A total of 1,191 vacancies have been announced in 19 designated trades in Bilaspur Division. The online application process started on 12 May 2026 and will continue till 11:59 PM on 11 June 2026 through the official apprenticeship portal.The recruitment drive includes vacancies in trades like COPA, Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Painter, Welder, Carpenter, Plumber and Stenographer. Candidates selected under the recruitment process will have to undergo one year apprenticeship training and will get stipend as per rules prescribed by Government of Chhattisgarh.Advertisement of Commercial wise VacanciesAmong all trades, COPA has the highest number of vacancies with 350 posts, followed by fitters with 223 posts and electricians with 206 posts. There are 125 posts for Wireman, while there are 41 posts for Painter and 40 posts for Mac (RAC). There are 38 posts for Carpenter and 36 posts for Steno (English).Other notified trades include Plumber with 30 vacancies, Steno (Hindi) with 25, Welder with 20 and Track Machine/BSP with 17 vacancies. There are 12 posts for Draftsman (Civil), eight posts for Diesel Mechanic, while there are four posts for Elect (Mech), Machinist, SMW, Turner and Chemical Laboratory Assistant.The category wise distribution includes 476 posts for UR candidates, 115 for EWS, 317 for OBC, 180 for SC and 86 for ST candidates. In addition, 115 posts are reserved for ex-SM candidates and 45 for PWD candidates.Eligibility and Selection ProcessCandidates applying for Apprentice posts must have passed 10th standard with minimum 50% aggregate marks with ITI qualification in respective trade. The prescribed age limit for applicants is 15 to 24 years as on 11 June 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in matriculation and ITI examinations, giving equal importance to both qualifications. The notification states that candidates must fill their class 10 and ITI numbers correctly while filling the application form, failing which the application may be automatically rejected.There is no application fee prescribed for the recruitment process.
