RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 Notification Released in Employment Gazette CEN 02/2026 for 6565 Posts
Railway Recruitment Boards has issued Centralized Employment Notification CEN No. 02/2026 for the recruitment of Technician under Ministry of Railways. The notice outlines 6565 vacancies for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III posts in the participating RRBs.Online applications will be accepted through the official RRB portal. Candidates must have BSc or Diploma for Grade I signal and 10th pass with ITI for Grade III.Age limit and pay structureThe age limit for Technician Grade I signal is 18 to 33 years and for Technician Grade III 18 to 30 years, calculated as on 01 July 2026. The salary levels are Level 5 with a starting salary of Rs.29200 and Level 2 with Rs.19900 respectively.Application Fee and ProcessThe application fee is Rs 500 for General, OBC and EWS categories, while SC, ST and PWD candidates pay Rs 250. Payment should be made online through the application portal only.Selection process and instructionsThe selection process includes computer based test followed by document verification and medical examination. Candidates can apply to only one RRB per pay level and must verify their Aadhaar details along with their Class 10 certificates.Official portal and application timelineCandidates will submit applications through official RRB portal rrbapply.gov.in. The application window opens on 30 June 2026 and closes on 29 July 2026. The exam date will be notified later by the Railway Recruitment Boards. Only one application is allowed per pay level and candidates should apply to one RRB for each level. The age limit is 18 to 33 years for Grade I signal and 18 to 30 years for Grade III, calculated as on 01 July 2026, subject to relaxation as per government rules.
