gave Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) has announced the results of the first phase Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts under CEN 05/2025. Candidates who qualified the first stage exam are now provisionally shortlisted for the second stage CBT.As per the official notification, the candidates have been shortlisted based on their performance in the first stage CBT. The Railway Recruitment Boards said that the shortlisting process was done keeping in view the order of preference offered by the candidates for various posts.The boards clarified that the candidates availing the benefits of reservation under categories like OBC (Non Creamy Layer), Schedule Cast (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Benchmark Persons with Disabilities (PWBD) and Ex-Servicemen (Ex-Servicemen) will be considered under Additional Categories (ExSM). RRB informed the candidates that they can check their individual scores and qualifying status for the second stage CBT through the official websites of the respective Railway Recruitment Boards.Result link activated on 13 May 2026 at 5 PM. - Visit the official website of your respective Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
- On the home page, click on the link to report “RRB JE Result 2026” or CEN 05/2025 Result.
- A login window will appear on the screen.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth in the required fields.
- Click on Submit/Login button.
- Your eligibility status, scorecard, and result details will appear on the screen.
- Download Result and Scorecard PDF for future reference.
- Candidates can also check their question paper and correct answers through the login portal.

The CBT schedule for the second phase will be announced later.
The Railway Recruitment Boards said that the dates of CBT for the second phase will be announced separately in due course. Candidates shortlisted for the next round will receive updates through official RRB websites, SMS, and email alerts.The city intimation slip of the exam is expected to be released around 10 days before the exam date, while the e-call letter or admit cards will be made available four days before the CBT.
Document verification depends on the performance of the second step.
RRB clarified that further shortlisting for document verification will be based on candidates’ performance in the second stage CBT.The boards also stressed that the applications of all the shortlisted candidates should be provisional. Officials warned that candidature can be canceled at any stage if discrepancies, misinformation or malpractice is detected during the recruitment process.The notification further states that merely qualifying for second stage CBT does not guarantee appointment in Railways. The first phase exam was held on 19th, 20th and 25th February 2026 at various centers across the country. The recruitment drive is considered as one of the biggest railway recruitment exercise for technical posts, attracting lakhs of candidates from various states.
