Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, the famous TV presenter, model and photographer have been together for almost 26 years and the couple is going stronger than ever. In a recent interview, the 55-year-old opened up about life as a married woman and how she and rock legend Stewart have been together for over 26 years.

The loved-up couple has been married since 2007, although they have been together for much longer. Speaking to Best Magazine, Lancaster opened up about her long 18-year marriage to Stewart and even joked about their friendship. “Yeah, 26! I deserve a medal, don’t I? Just kidding,” he said during the interview.She shared that one of the reasons the two have lasted so long is because they are both intentional with each other. The photographer shared that they have their own routines, and they often keep things together even after such a long date to keep things interesting. Adding more on the matter, “we don’t take each other for granted and we definitely have date nights together…dinner, theater or whatever, running to school together and having a coffee ‘a deux’ on the way home, long romantic walks together.” She also shared that flirting with each other and making each other laugh is also an important part of our relationship.

Another factor that has helped the couple stay together for so long is that they both make sure they still celebrate each other’s achievements. The ‘Loose Women’ star added that they also celebrate their anniversaries and make a big deal of it.“For example, for our last wedding anniversary, we took a romantic train trip from Paris to Portofino because Rod proposed to me in Paris and we got married in Portofino. We love reminiscing about our life together and also making plans for the future – more romantic trips,” she shared.Conversely, Lancaster and Stewart have been together since 1999. The two have been together ever since, and got married in 2007. They also have two children; Alastair Wallace and Aiden Patrick, Lancaster also has 6 other children from his previous marriages.
