Talking to GQ India, when asked whose biopic she would like to be a part of, Kriti had only one name in mind. “Rekha. She’s the ultimate badass. I know I don’t look like anything, but I love her. Her heart, her guts, her aura. She’s warm, smart and has lived life on her own terms,” he said.

In the same interview, Kriti got candid about the struggles that shaped her career in filmmaking. He spoke of going through long periods of frustration and longing for more meaningful roles, a feeling that lasted until ‘Mimi’ came along and changed things. “There were roles that came very close to me that ended up going to star kids, something that was out of my control. If you don’t come from a film background, there’s a lot of uncertainty that you have to deal with. It has been a process of gradual growth, with me taking risks and deliberately making more choices. I won all the opportunities; nothing was given to me There was a phase where nothing was working, and it felt confusing. However, I am grateful for that period, because it made it clear to me what I do not want to continue. Failure teaches you a lot more than success,” he said.
