In a 2004 episode of Simi Garewal’s ‘Rendezvous’, Rekha opened up about her feelings for Amitabh. He admitted that he loved her, but denied having a personal relationship with her. Their rumored link-up has been a part of Hindi cinema history for decades, especially after their last film together, ‘Silsila’.

Rekha made the comments during her 2004 appearance on Simi Garewal’s show ‘Rendezvous’. When Simi asked if she ever had a crush on Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha didn’t dodge the question.She replied, “Absolutely. Duh, that’s a dumb question. I haven’t met a single man, woman, child yet who doesn’t fall completely, passionately, madly, desperately, hopelessly in love with her. So why should I be singled out?”Rekha then added, “What am I denying? I’m not in love with him? Of course. Duniya bhar ka love (love of the whole world) aap le lijiyega (you can take it) and add more, I feel that for that person. Bottom line”.His comments became one of the most talked about moments of the interview.
