Much of the focus is on Virat Kohli, who currently has the orange cap. But the batting unit is no longer solely dependent on them.
Captain Rajat Patidar, Devdutt Padikal, Phil Salt and Tim David have contributed to the win this season and will aim to do the same against Delhi.
Patidar stands out with his sixes, topping the list with 21 sixes in five matches, three more than Rajasthan Royals’ Vibhu Suryavanshi.
These partnerships have allowed Kohli to bat with support from the rest of the line-up.
Delhi, on the other hand, are still looking for consistency in the batting. The team has players like KL Rahul, Patham Nissanka, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller and Nitish Rana, but none of them have been consistent. They are currently fifth in the table with four points.
Young batsman Sameer Rizvi is one of the few positives with two fifties. Delhi’s two wins have come against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Skipper Akshar Patel has taken three wickets and three runs in four matches this season.
The bowling also lacks consistency. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for 10 runs per over. Mukesh Kumar and T Natarajan have had a limited impact.
It will be a challenge for Delhi to control RCB’s batting.
RCB’s bowling unit led by Josh Hazlewood has also been effective, especially in Chinnaswamy.
