RB Choudary had a special bond with actor Vijay and wanted to act in his 100th film. She had earlier said in an interview with Puthiya Thalaimurai, “Vijay told me that he will act in my 100th film. But now he has turned to politics to prevent that dream from happening. I feel sad.” He was the man who introduced Vijay through ‘Poove Unakkaga’ and later gave him big hits like ‘Love Today’, ‘Thulladha Manamum Thullum’, ‘Thirupaachi’ and ‘Jilla’.These films played a pivotal role in Vijay’s rise to stardom. RB Choudary’s long film journey
RB Choudary started his career in 1988 with Malayalam movie ‘Aadi Paapam’. Later, in 1990, he came to Tamil cinema with ‘Pudhu Vasantham’, which was a huge hit. Thus, he started his own production house called Super Good Films with a strong reputation. Over the years, he produced films in several languages and gained recognition for family entertainers and commercial blockbusters.
RB Choudary was on the verge of completing a century film
In 2021, he made a film titled ‘Kalathil Santhippom’ with his son Jiiva, which was the 90th production of Super Good Films. Later, he produced ‘Maareesan’ with Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu, which became his 98th film. The upcoming ‘Magudam’, starring Vishal, would have been his 99th film. He was gearing up to complete a huge milestone of 100 films, a rare achievement in Indian cinema. RB Choudary’s sudden death has brought that journey to a halt, but his legacy lives on through his films and the many stars he helped build.
