His appeal came after the state said stray dogs would be removed from public places, shelters would be set up and legal action would be taken in cases of rabid, incurable or dangerous dogs.

According to Hindustan Times, Raveena shared a note on Instagram and directly addressed the Punjab Chief Minister. He wrote, “Honorable CM Bhagwant Mann ji, your recent observations on the Supreme Court judgment on the management of stray animals have sparked important conversations across the country. While public safety is very important, I sincerely hope that the interpretation and implementation of the ruling remains humane and balanced.Raveena asked the state to choose measures that protect both people and animals. He added that “compassionate solutions such as sterilization, vaccination, appropriate shelters and structured rehabilitation can help protect citizens and animals.”The actor also said that Punjab can set an example. He wrote: “I truly believe that with the help of authorities, animal welfare organizations and experts, Punjab can set an example of handling this sensitive issue with responsibility and kindness. How we treat the voiceless ultimately reflects who we are as a society.”
