Amidst rumors that the film has been derailed, the makers have now released a statement clarifying that the film is going ahead as planned, with production set to begin in August 2026.As reported by Variety India, the production has clarified that there are no obstacles affecting the film. According to an insider, reports suggesting any uncertainty about “Pralay” are completely baseless. Ranveer and Jai have been in constant discussions and have firmly locked the script. The project has already moved into pre-production, with the entire team actively gearing up to create a mega spectacle never seen before from Indian cinema. According to this, ‘Pralay’ is on track to go on floors in August 2026.”For the film, Raveer is said to be donning a new avatar. Described as a VFX action thriller set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world, the film is expected to bring a fresh take on the zombie genre to Hindi cinema.the director Jai Mehta The project has been in development for more than a year. It is reported that the film will have a budget of around 300 million.It should be noted that Raveer is yet to sign the film. He is also said to be in discussions with director Aditya Dhar for a historical epic, which may begin after the completion of ‘Pralay’.According to reports, Singh is in talks with Dhar for a film set in the era of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder and first emperor of the Maurya Empire. Both are currently riding high on the success of the spy thriller and are waiting for the dust to settle before starting their next work.Meanwhile, Ranveer has joined his pregnant wife, Deepika Padukone On the sets of ‘King’. The actor left for South Africa along with Shah Rukh Khan to shoot the climax of the film which stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and many others. The film will be released on Christmas 2026.
