In an interview with Karan Johar, the actor was asked what he would like to say to people who questioned the casting of the franchise.In response, Ranveer said, “Ek chance dedo, 12-13 saal me theek thaak hi kaam kiya hai maine, toh ek mauka toh banta hai.” (Give me a chance. I think I’ve done a pretty decent job in the last 12-13 years, so I deserve at least a chance.) Author Shobhaa De has blasted the non-cooperation directive

Writer and columnist Shobhaa De did not hold back while reacting to the controversy. In a strong video statement, he criticized the FWICE’s decision and compared the situation to the Delhi Gymkhana Club issue.Questioning the authority of the federation, he said: “Who is FWICE? I don’t think they are that important, but suddenly they have become so important that they say, ‘Oh, we will not allow this man, this superstar, the most successful actor in India, to come to the studios and to his work.’He also warned that these actions could affect the technicians and crew involved in the projects related to the actor. “What is happening is very ugly,” he added, stressing that entertainment should not become a place for fear or power struggles.

FWICE has clarified that “it is not a ban”

Following the backlash on social media, FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit later clarified that the federation had not officially banned Ranveer Singh. According to him, the organization only announced a temporary non-cooperation directive with its members. Explaining the move, “it’s not a ban. We’re not a court; we can’t ban people.” The issue reportedly started after Farhan Akhtar approached the Federation regarding Ranveer Singh’s last-minute exit from “Don 3”.

Ranveer Singh maintains his silence

While the controversy continues to make headlines, Ranveer Singh himself has refused to publicly react to the issue. However, his spokesperson has just released a statement stressing that the actor continues to respect the ‘Don’ franchise and everyone associated with it.The statement stated that Ranveer prefers to handle professional matters “with dignity, maturity and mutual respect” and remains focused on his upcoming projects.
