In a first move for the Indian film industry, a feature length documentary is reportedly being prepared for a big theatrical release. As of April 21, 2026, the sequel is still dominating the theatres, having recently crossed the monumental Rs. 1,100 crore nett mark at the domestic box office.

Making plans for the theatrical release of ‘Dhurandhar’

According to Hindustan Times, the makers have decided to turn the production of the film into a show as well. All BTS footage and cast interviews will be compiled into a feature film, which will premiere in the last quarter of 2026 and eventually air on the OTT platform. All the main actors of the film including the actors Ranveer SinghArjun Rampal and director Aditya Dhar are yet to do any media interaction as their first interviews will be part of this BTS movie which will hit the theaters live. This is a first for any Indian film, and the makers are making sure that there are no images of BTS on social media before the release of the film.
