FWICE lifts ban on Ranveer Singh
This comes after the Federation of West Indian Cine Workers (FWICE) withdrew its non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh, which was issued amid controversy surrounding the film.
IMPPA reacts to FWICE ban
IMPPA president Abhay Shinha in a statement to ANI said that FWICE initially imposed the ban without consulting them. He explained: “Actually, what happened was that they passed on the manager. They went to the Directors Guild, and the Directors Guild is under FWICE, so they came under that. After that, many producers said that this is not the Federation’s business at all, why were people going there? After that, we gave a letter, and they also understood that it is the oldest association and they are saying this.““We also asked them not to do that, please remove the ban. This is our IMPPA account, the Producers Association account, and we will solve it. We have solved very big cases. So they understood that and they said that your letter is absolutely correct, we will definitely talk to our team about it and we will try to withdraw it. So they held a press conference,” he said.
