Ram Charan’s latest release sports action drama ‘Peddi’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana and starring Janhvi Kapoor is getting positive and mixed reviews on social media at the box office. As the makers have informed, the film has reached the mark of 135 crores on the first day.

Authors share collections from around the world

On Friday, the production house took to its X (formerly Twitter) handle to announce that the film earned over 135.36 crores on its first day. Sharing the actor’s poster online, they wrote, “Box office CHAMPION —#PEDDI SIR. 135.36 CR+ GROSS on WW 1.”

A detailed look at Ram Charan’s film collection

Looking at a more detailed breakdown of the film’s box office collection, in its special releases on Wednesday, the film collected over 18.5 crores from 847 shows and added 51 crores from 12,412 shows on the first day, taking the total gross collection in India to 82.4 crores.On the second day, according to live numbers, the film is currently running in 2,647 shows and has collected 2.79 million euros. Majority of collection comes from Telugu shows with 2.68 crores. Meanwhile, Hindi shows fetch over 8 lakh, Kannada shows over 1 lakh and Tamil shows over 2 lakh.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘Peddi’ is a sports action drama that follows the story of Peddi, played by Ram Charan, who is a talented cricketer from a village in Bizianagaram. Although many teams want him to play against him, he sees cricket as a way to bring recognition and pride to his country.The film also features Shiva Rajkumar as mentor Gournaidu, Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in supporting roles.The film has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Ratnavelu.
