Humari puraani dosti hai (we are old friends) but we meet after a long time,” he said, adding that Rakesh continued this routine for several years.After Satish Shah passed away in 2025, Rakesh shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, writing, “How much I miss you my friend. You are etched in me” along with a picture of the late actor.He is currently riding high on the success of Rakesh Dhurandhar: The Revenge, where his portrayal of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali has struck a chord with audiences. Several dialogues from the film have gone viral, which has made it a huge hit at the box office. The film has collected over 1.75 billion worldwide and over 1 billion in India.
