Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has become one of the most talked about names after the blockbuster hit Aditya DharDhurandhar: The Revenge, thanks to his fan favorite character Jameel Jamali and the viral interview “Bachcha hai tu mera”. Amid reports that the actor received a bonus of Rs 1 crore after the film’s success, Bedi has now reacted with his trademark humor to the ongoing uproar.According to earlier reports, the founders of the Dhurandhar franchise were reportedly so impressed with Bedi’s performance that they rewarded him with Rs 1 crore more than his original fee.However, speaking to Mashable India, the actor humorously reacted to the rumours, saying that he should also benefit from the viral creative based on his popular dialogue.

During the interview, the host jokingly referred to the viral rumors and said, “Jo random afwah udi hui hai Rs 1 crore wali, usko sach karne ka mere paas tareeka hai.”The host added, “100 mark ne mera naam utika karke ‘Bachcha tu mera’ wale creatives banaye hain. Agar har mark Rs 1 lakh bhej de, toh Rs 1 crore ho jayega.”Responding to the joke, Rakesh Bedi laughed and replied, “Sab mera naam use kar rahe hain, meme bana rahe hain, cartoon bana rahe hain… uska fayda mujhe bhi toh hona chahiye na.”The actor’s humorous response comes days after he also rejected bonus claims of 1 million euros, saying that this amount had not yet reached his account.
‘Records apne aap too gaye’
In the same interaction, Bedi also reflected on the phenomenal success of the franchise and the response from audiences worldwide.When Dhurandhar was asked about Ranveer Singh breaking records weeks after his release, the actor humbly replied, “Maine koi record nahi gaur yaar, records apne aap toot gaye.”Comparing today’s box office culture with the era of Sholay, Bedi noted how audience habits and the reach of theater have evolved over the decades.“Today if a film runs for 42 days, it is considered a huge success. But Sholay ran for five years. People watched it 10-15 times. At that time, there were only about 500-600 theaters in India. Today, there are thousands of screens,” he said.

The actor, who has been in the entertainment industry for nearly five decades with over 150 films to his credit, also shared a positive outlook on work and success.“Jo aana hoga aa jayega.
