Riteish Deshmukhmostly known for his comedy roles in Bollywood, he has delivered an epic historical drama with ‘Raja Shivaji’. Directed and directed by Deshmukh, the film narrates the exploits of the Maratha warrior. The film which released in Marathi and Hindi scored a record opening in the former language on Friday and showed a decent number in the latter. According to Sacnilk, the multistarrer historical drama earned 7.15 crores on its second day on Saturday in 1980 shows. This comes after an impressive opening of Rs 8 crore on Friday, which put the film on the list of highest debut collections for a Marathi film. With a high occupancy of 57 percent on Day 2, the Marathi collection tally has risen to 15.15 crore till now.

‘Raja Shivaji’ sees Rs 30 crore mark in its opening weekend

Apart from the Marathi box office number, the collection of the Hindi version has also not been bad. On Day 1, the Hindi version of ‘Raja Shivaji’ earned 3.35 crores, pushing the total to 11.35 crores. On Day 2, the film made Rs 3.40 crore in Hindi, taking the total to Rs. 10.55 million. Here, a 7 percent drop can be seen. However, for ‘Raja Shivaji’ the net collection in India after combining Hindi and Marathi versions after two days of threatened release is 21.90 crores and the gross account is 26.06 crores.If the film continues to earn at the same pace, without further dips, it would not be difficult to reach 30 crores by the end of the opening weekend.
